who, what, why and where?

Who are we? 3 dutchies and a kiwi who one day decided to throw in the suburban towel and see a bit more of the world.

After much deliberation, soul searching and chatting with fellow overlanders, we settled on experiencing life on the road in an ex-ambulance MB sprinter 4×4.

We left on 14 August 2009 heading north to Darwin and on to Singapore.

The desired route has changed direction a few times due to bombs, earthquakes, kidnappings and red tape – and it still could change along the way. However, our current itinerary is:

Melbourne – Darwin : straight up through the red centre.

Darwin – Singapore (first sea crossing)

Singapore, Sumatra, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos – back through Thailand, Malaysia to Singapore for the next crossing.

After that: We’ll see!
